Last September, my dad came to the Philippines from the U.S. to visit us and meet her unica apo, Charlize Jade (Jade to her lolo). I wasn't able to capture the first meeting on video or even on still photo, but i can still vividly remember the look on my dad's face when he first set eyes on his beloved apo! It was indescribable, though. It's a mixture of love, happiness and excitement!
Later, he said, he wasn't convinced that he's already a grandpa until he actually saw her apo! Well, I guess, now he's more than convinced! I miss my dad... I know, upon seeing my daughter, memories of me being his very own baby girl came flashing back in his mind. Me being his first-born. It's just sad that they could only stay for three weeks here. Plus the fact that that 3-week vacation can't be spent entirely with us since they need to visit other relatives, too. I'm just thankful that how short it may be, I can say that we had real QUALITY time together. We love you, dad! We misss you! See you soon!:)

all about boninay
Our dear Boninay weighed only 5.9 lbs at birth. She was so fragile. I remember the first time I held her, I didn't know exactly how i felt. It was love at first sight! Again, our first pic together was taken with my phone camera and is missing. So I just posted this picture taken at home. She's 2 weeks old here. Isn't she the cutest? Winking at mommy! hehehe... I love her to bits! :)
i love motherhood!
When i first learned about blogging a few years ago, i so wanted to have one, too. Problem is, I don't have any interesting topic to write about. Something that would really interest ME about ME! Hahaha, magulo ba?
But anyways, finally, I got something! Something that really, really made my life more interesting! Yes, yes, yes! MOTHERHOOD! In fact, I wanted to start right after I gave birth, to document my day to day adventures of being a first time, hands-on mom. One without her own mom to assist her (she passed away when I was 12) or even anyone who already has an experience in these things to just be there for support. My hubby is ever present since day one yet daddies can only do so much hehehe.
Which reminds me, I wasn't able to blog at once since as I've mentioned earlier, I'm a super hands-on mom. I purely breastfeed too, meaning I do all the work. No shifting in the middle of the night! I do have a household help but that's where her job starts and ends, doing household chores. I'm a little selfish, hahaha! I don't like other people touching my little bundle of joy. Not unless you're an immediate family member! Well, i guess you can but just for a while. LOL! So, it's just now, 8 months after giving birth that I finally had the chance to start writing.
So for starters, here are some pictures of our hospital trip to finally meet our dear litttle one. My very own little angel from heaven: CHARLIZE JADE :) a.k.a. "BONINAY". Thus, I am NANAY NI BONINAY!

nanay ni boninay
They say that once you gave birth, your memory will be less sharper and I believe it's so true! Some medicine daw kase is injected sa mother to forget all the pain she had gone through after giving birth, hehehe... but i guess I have to clarify that from my OB first.
Anyways, see the pic below? I don't even remember when that was taken! All i can guess is that it was on my third trimester of pregnancy... before going to my pre-natal check-up.
I don't have a decent picture of my preggy self, 'cause i hate how i look when I was pregnant! I only take pics of my bulging tummy, no face at all! I was looking for it now but I can't seem to find it! I'm guessing it was with the files my hubby sentenced to go to trash due to low disk space in his pc! Oh my! :(
In my 9 months of pregnancy, i fix myself once a month (i.e. put make-up, blow-dry and iron hair etc.) just to look presentable naman when I go see my OB. Other than that, it's just the plain overweight, pre-eclamptic me! :) My hubby loves me still, though. :)Anyways, see the pic below? I don't even remember when that was taken!
